Program Overview

The International Student Education Program in the Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District is a public school program that gives foreign students the opportunity to:

• study with Canadian students
• learn English and standard academic subjects in a supportive environment
• experience Canadian culture
  

All schools are accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Province of British Columbia and offer government curriculum.

Students may attend for a semester, an academic year, or to graduate with a British Columbia diploma. To learn more about university entrance opportunities, click here.

ESL

Acceptance is not dependent on English proficiency. A student’s English will be assessed before the start of classes, and an individual program is developed for each student depending on English language skills. ESL (English-as-a-Second Language) classes are provided as required.
